But so do the crypto hacks across various platforms. Nervos Network is the recent victim of hackers and has lost over $3 million in funds from its cross-chain bridge. The news came to light when Web3 security firm Cyvers posted about it on its official X account. Multiple malicious transactions, which took place on the Force bridge, included the following assets: 257,800 USDT 539.09 ETH 898,300 USDC 60,400 DAI 0.79 WBTC Overall, hackers stole around $3 million worth of funds. Cyvers also tracked these funds and found that hackers swapped them to Ethereum and deposited them into the popular crypto mixer, Tornado Cash. Once funds are transferred to a crypto mixer, it is almost impossible to find out the wallet addresses linked to those particular asset transfers. Nervos Network Contributor Magickbase Paused Force Bridge Hours before Cyvers’ post on the hack, Magickbase stated that it paused the activity on the Force cross-chain bridge due to abnormal activity. Magickbase is a major contributor to and an infrastructure provider of the Nervos Network. It is also one of the key partners of Nervos Network’s flagship cross-chain bridges. The fact that Magickbase announced its plans to shut down the Force bridge from June 1, 2025, is noteworthy. This announcement was released recently on May 31, and the hackers took this opportunity to steal funds. Because of low activity and high maintenance costs, Magickbase decided to sunset two platforms, the Force Bridge and Godwoken.
