Illinois Woman Refuses to Pay for Restaurant Order in Viral Video – ‘You Can’t Make Me’
A woman at a restaurant in Illinois is going viral for declining to pay for a meal she didn’t like.
The customer argued that the items should not appear on her check since the food was not made to her satisfaction.
“I don’t like it, and you can’t make me pay for something that I don’t like.”
The manager countered that the food itself had no apparent issues.
Video of the exchange with the manager triggered a major reaction from viewers.
Not liking your food doesn’t mean you suddenly get to decide you’re not paying for it. Everyone has different tastes. In Illinois, not paying for food you ordered and received can be treated as theft of services.
Not liking the meal is not the same as the kitchen serving something unsafe or not what you asked for.
