Massachusetts Woman Steals $536,000 From Bank Accounts Using Fake Driver’s Licenses: DOJ

A Massachusetts woman is heading to federal prison after pulling $536,000 from bank accounts with fake driver’s licenses.
Rosemary Parks, 59, of Hopkinton, was sentenced on September 30th to 26 months, two years of supervised release and $4,000 in restitution, says the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
Parks pleaded guilty in May to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. She was arrested in January of 2026.
Between August and October of 2024, she impersonated at least eight customers at banks in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
She used fake driver’s licenses that carried the customers’ information with her own photo, and handed tellers withdrawal slips with their names and account numbers.
She took the money in cashier’s checks and one cash withdrawal.
The case is tied to a wider investigation.
In July of 2025, six men were charged in a related multi-million-dollar scheme aimed at banks in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Phalentz Vernot, Victor Kolawole and Keith Wainaina have pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
Co-defendant William Shaw also pleaded guilty on September 30th in a related scheme.
He is set to be sentenced on January 6th, 2027.
